RTD RidgeGate Station Access
A crosswalk directly connects Tall Tales Ranch to the RTD RidgeGate Station, supporting safe, accessible transit access to the broader community.
Community Garden
A shared outdoor space for gardening, learning, and building community through hands-on experiences.
Walking Paths
Accessible paths designed to encourage movement, independence, and connection throughout campus.

Tall Tales Ranch is established
Tall Tales Ranch is established as a nonprofit organization.
2019
The vision takes shape
Architectural drawings and design for the future community are developed.
2020
Site plan approved
The final site improvement plan is approved by the City of Lone Tree.
2022
Capital campaign launches
Tall Tales Ranch launches its capital campaign to bring the future community to life.
2024
$11.2 million raised
The capital campaign reaches a major milestone as plans for the community are finalized.
2026
Groundbreaking
August 2026 — Construction officially begins on the Tall Tales Ranch community.

What Life at TTR Will Look Like

Tall Tales Ranch is designed to provide an inclusive housing and community environment where residents can build connections, pursue their interests, and choose the supports that work best for them.

TTR Will Offer

Inclusive Housing
Primarily one-bedroom apartments, with a limited number of two-bedroom apartments, available through monthly leases.
24/7 On-Site Staffing
On-site staff will help support a safe, welcoming, and connected community.
Community Spaces
Shared spaces where residents can connect, share meals, participate in activities, and build relationships.
Enrichment & Life Skills
Intermittent enrichment activities, outings, life skills classes, and opportunities to develop independence.
Workforce Opportunities
Opportunities for workforce development, job training, and social enterprise.
Connection to the Community
Walking access to RTD Light Rail and designated transportation pick-up and drop-off locations.

TTR Will Not Offer

Medicaid-Funded Support Services
Tall Tales Ranch is not a PASA or direct service provider. Residents may choose the providers that best meet their individual needs.
Direct Support for Daily Living
Residents who need assistance with activities of daily living will arrange their own agency-based or self-directed supports.
Individual Schedule Management
Activities, enrichment, and life skills classes will be voluntary and intermittent—not individualized daily programming.
Formal Dining or Meal Plans
The community will offer opportunities for shared meals, cooking classes, potlucks, brown-bag lunches, and grab-and-go options.
Individual Transportation Management
TTR can help residents understand available transportation options and provide concierge assistance when needed.
Traditional Day Programming
TTR will not provide formal day programming or vocational rehabilitation services, although community spaces may be available for job training or social enterprise.
Residents remain in control of the supports they choose.
Tall Tales Ranch is a housing and community environment, not a direct-service provider. Residents can bring in the services, providers, and supports that best fit their individual needs and preferences.
